The IZM Model 1935 was the same as the IZM Model 1928 but with pneumatic, low-pressure times for use in Somaliland and Italian East Africa. The increase in performance wasn't as much as anticipated, as the weight of the vehicle and the hot climate tended to burst the new tires. Also on four cars, the water-cooled 6.5mm Fiat machine guns were replaced by the Fiat 1914 Tipo Aviazione air-cooled, aircraft machine guns. Some of these vehicles were used by the Germans in 1943-1944. |
