Used the standard M3 Scout Car to carry a 4.2-inch mortar which was fired from the ground with a folding mount. A total of six vehicles were completed at the Rock Island Arsenal. For a brief time the T5E1 carried the designator, Carrier, Mortar, 4.2-inch, M2. Armor protection was the same as the M3 Scout Car. |
