Miscellaneous Info: The LAV-AD is the Air Defense variant in the United States Marine Corps family of Light Armored Vehicles (LAV).  Although based on the same LAV design it was fielded many years after the initial procurement of vehicles in the early 1980's. Only a small number (17) of these variants were built before production ceased.
