| Miscellaneous Info: | Like the M1114, the basic M1151 is different than other the HMMWV variants as it can be fitted with armor at the factory (e.g. IAP- Integrated Armor Protection) as well as adding other armor packages later. Also, it is based on a vehicle with a heavier chassis, the M1113 Expanded Capacity Vehicle. The M1151A1 (previously called the M1151PI) is the designation of those vehicles with the IAP fitted at the factory. The M1152 is similar, but it is the 2-Door Utility Vehicle Variant and the M1167 ITAS/TOW Missile Carrier is on the same chassis as well. |
