| Miscellaneous Info: | Brazil had received some 180 M8 armored cars between 1944 and 1952, but by the late 1960s they were wearing out. In 1968, two design groups (IME and Engesa) produced prototypes. IME proposed a 4x4 version of the basic M8 Greyhound 6x6 called the M8 Brasileiro CRR. Although modified slightly from its first design to accommodate a spare wheel and tire, only one M8 Brasileiro CRR was completed and development was concentrated on the EE-9 instead. |
