Above and Below: One of three Bantam's completed by the Checker Cab Company. These  machines were built from components supplied by Bantam. With the US Army decision not to standardize the Bantam series, production by Checker was cancelled.

Below: One of early Bantam's being used in a weapon test. In this case the .50 caliber HMG has been fixed in a ring mount, while a small ammunition trailer has been attached. According to the original caption, the actual test was of the trailer, not of the ring mount. (Photo: US Army SC 179642)
